Public servants in Ecology’s 11 environmental programs are busy every day protecting our state’s water, land, and air. Not everything we do is newsworthy, but it is important and interesting. ECOconnect gives us a chance to tell you more of the story, helps you know who we are and what we do, and gives you a chance to let us know what you think!
Our Facebook pages give us an opportunity to give you up to date information, to have a conversation, and to hear what you think! You don’t have to be a Facebook member to read our pages (however, you will have to be a member if you’d like to add comments).
As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words! Ecology’s YouTube channel hosts videos highlighting some of the work we do on behalf of the environment and the citizens of Washington. Some are entertaining, some educational, and hopefully all are interesting! We also link to our favorite videos from other agencies and organizations who share our mission to protect land, air, and water.
Our tweets help us keep you informed, instantaneously and 24/7. Our short messages will link you directly to more information. We’re united with a broad array of like-minded agencies and organizations.
Are you sharing pictures from your smart phone? So are we! #awesome
Check out the beautiful photos on our Flickr site, as well as the photos that showcase the work we do every day on behalf of the environment and the citizens of Washington. Share your photos with us! It’s a snap!
Want to know when we’ve posted new information and news? It’s easy! Sign up for our RSS feeds and you’ll instantly know when we share something new.
Ecology believes in public participation. Occasionally, there are issues that are very complicated and we need and want to know what people think. One way to communicate with you and to hear your views is through EcoForum, our online public meeting place. The forum isn’t always active, but it’s always available for you to read the questions and discussions that have taken place.
We recognize that sometimes you just want to get specific information without having to look for it or having your email inbox clogged up with stuff you don’t really care about. We have a variety of listservs that you can join to get up-to-the-minute news and information.
